چکیده

In this letter we propose a novel method to unambiguously estimate the phase-difference of a single-frequency signal measured between a pair of spatially separated sensors. First, we mathematically prove that, in a noiseless system, the phase between a pair of spatially separated sensors with inter-sensor spacing exceeding half wavelength (λ2 ) of the signal of interest, can unambiguously be estimated utilizing a third collinear sensor, provided that the difference of the two smaller inter-sensor spacings does not exceed λ2 . The performance of the method is characterized by estimating the variance and the probability of failure in noisy cases.

Evaluation of the Regularization Algorithm to Decorrelation of Covariance Matrix of Float Ambiguity in Fast Resolution of GPS Ambiguity Parameters

Precise positioning in Real Time Kinematic (RTK) applications depends on the accurate resolution of the phase ambiguities. In RTK positioning, ambiguity parameters are highly correlated, especially when the positioning rate is high. Consequently, application of de-correlation techniques for the accurate resolution of ambiguities is inevitable. Phase ambiguity as positioning observations by the ...

Optimizing Single Sweep Range and Doppler Processing for FMCW Radar using Inverse Filtering

We discuss range and Doppler processing for FMCW radar using only a single pulse or frequency sweep. The first step is correlation processing, for which the range and Doppler resolution are limited by the ambiguity function. We show that this resolution can be optimized with an additional inverse filtering step. The method is demonstrated for sinusoidal FMCW radar measurements. Several regulari...

Application of Single-Frequency Time-Space Filtering Technique for Seismic Ground Roll and Random Noise Attenuation

Time-frequency filtering is an acceptable technique for attenuating noise in 2-D (time-space) and 3-D (time-space-space) reflection seismic data. The common approach for this purpose is transforming each seismic signal from 1-D time domain to a 2-D time-frequency domain and then denoising the signal by a designed filter and finally transforming back the filtered signal to original time domain. ...

Quadruple Single Frequency Receiver System for Ambiguity Resolution On The Fly

Resolution of carrier phase ambiguities on the fly (OTF) using a pair (monitor/remote) of single frequency receivers is difficult to achieve reliably in an operational environment due to the unfavorable ratio between carrier phase noise and multipath on the one hand, and the 19 cm wavelength of the Ll carrier on the other hand. The use of the 86 cm wavelength widelane carrier is much more effec...

An Integer Ambiguity Resolution Procedure for GPS/Pseudolite/INS Integration

In order to achieve a precise positioning solution from GPS, the carrier phase measurements with correctly resolved integer ambiguities must be used. Based on the integration of GPS with pseudolites and Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), this paper proposes an effective procedure for single-frequency carrier phase integer ambiguity resolution. With the inclusion of pseudolites and INS measureme...
